How to Apply for Financial Aid

The financial aid team is here to help, but you need to apply for financial aid before we can put our skills to work. There is no income cutoff to receive federal financial aid and the FAFSA is key to determining your eligibility.

The process may seem overwhelming, but the FAFSA website offers helpful tips while you complete the application. Plus, our team of experts is always here to help. Once the federal government processes your FAFSA, we'll receive your results and send you a financial aid award letter.

Step One

Apply for admission to Wilkes. If you haven't already completed an application, you can apply online.

Step Two

Both you and your parent/guardian (if you're a dependent) should apply for an FSA identification number external website. You will use your FSA ID to electronically sign the FAFSA. Hang onto this ID — you and your family will need it when you enroll as a Wilkes student.

Step Three

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) external website after Jan. 1. The FAFSA opens on Jan. 1 for the following academic year. Be sure to include Wilkes University's Title IV Code 003394 so we receive your FAFSA results.
